  • To Hand. A Projection for the Palm

    videoprojection on palm/ 7 ´ LOOP / 2017
The videoprojection To Hand. A Projection for the Palm demands the presence of a human body in the exhibition space in order to become visible. The beamer is arranged in a way that the looping video is not visible at first - as the device is not projecting on a screen or wall but rather outside of the exhibition space, its light can only materialize if a visitor passes by it or deliberately uses his*her own body as a screen. Thus, the visibility of the artwork depends directly on the bodily presence of a person in the space. Through the interaction with the beamer, which is projecting a video of my moving hand trying to touch or grasp something, an impossible sensual touch between us - the viewer and myself - occurs in the exhibition space.
